Question:
What is supermale and superfemale? Who invented it first? How does it take place in the body?
Doctor George's reply:
You are probably referring to sex chromosome disorders. These are genetic errors (not inventions), where abnormal pairing of chromosomes occur during cell division such that instead of the normal 46,XY for male and 46,XX for females, 47,XXX /XXY/ XYY is produced (note the extra sex chromosome). Of these, only Kleinfelter’s Syndrome (47,XXY) is recognizable due to its phenotypic distinction (small testicles, enlarged breast tissue, long legs, infertility, etc.). The other two are not syndromes as there is no phenotype and they have normal fertility.
