Medical Inquiry
Question:

Dear Doctor,

I have asked about possible hemorrhoids before. What else causes a mass in the anus? It's not painful, there is no blood and it's not itchy.

Thanks.

Doctor George's reply:

Aside from hemorrhoids, it could be an anal or rectal new growth or a condyloma. Consult your doctor for a complete history and physical examination.
